Dear Mr Wood Re - the Library Service to Stickney.
I understand that changes are being made to this service which include changes to the previously designated access sites for this service. I live at the Mill House Main Road Stickney and being now partially disabled and having a wife who in very dependent on me to get her books from the Library Bus, I have found it very convenient to go to the site near the infants School as I can just manage to walk there. To go to the Picnic Park area would be inconvenient for me as it would mean getting out the car as I cannot walk to this site, especially carrying the books, this also relates for the same reason to the Horbling Lane site on a Tuesday lunch time as it co insides with the opening times of the Fish shop and is difficult to park there anyway at this time. So I wish to add my opposition to these proposed site changes to those who are also against these changes being made without consultation with the people it effects. you have my permission to pass on this e-mail to anyone it may concern. I can be contacted on Tel : 01205 480298. yours sincerely. Edward C Holland.

LIVES GROUP
Hello, I wonder if there would be interest in the following? As Stickney area, is slightly remote from ambulances etc., I was wondering if anyone would be interested in trying to have a LIVES group in the area. I live in Midville and have looked into joining them, however, there is no group in the vicinity. Would anyone be interested? Further details can be sought from the originator :- Rob Dodsworth on 07932216298

Nuclear Fallout Shelter

Now that Blair has departed leaving our Country in a shambles, roads & rail dangerous, hospitals dangerous, prisoners being released early or dangerous foreign ones not deported, schools in meltdown, etc etc. I note he has been appointed as Middle East envoy!!! Could perhaps Stickney, Midville & Stickford Parish Councils club together and buy a Nuclear fallout shelter I think we are going to need one. Concerned of Stickford. (N & A withheld on request)

POLICE

Could you thank the Boston Standard for publishing a picture of a policeman last week. I showed it to my grandson he had never seen one and I was forgetting what they look like living in Stickney. Name & address supplied but withheld on request.

Editor: I will pass on your remarks. Thank you.

##### wheeled dust bins

Here we go again, bins in our estate smelling to high heaven, attracting vermin, and breading colonies of maggots. Surly anyone with half a brain could devise a better way of dealing with this seeing how much they #####well get paid. Name & address supplied but withheld on request.

Editor: Good point. I draw to the contributors attention we will delete profanity.

WIND FARM PLANNING APPLICATION SIBSEY

It would seem that this application comes within the scope of Article Eight and The First Protocol (Article One) of The Human Rights Act 1998 ( which came into force in the UK on 2nd October 2000). The convention turns conventional planning rules on their head as it places the individual first on the basis of and I quote " the rights of the individual are paramount ". The argument in this case that there is some justification in the "public interest" is spent as there is a plethora of evidence that wind farms are ineffectual tools for sustainable energy and themselves are unsustainable without subsidy. The collateral damage that these ineffectual towers would impose on the residence of Sibsey and its environs would be unacceptable and is a direct assault against Article 8 (2) of the Act. ( "Private & Family life encompasses not only the home but also the surroundings". Further "Britton v SOS the Courts reappraised the purpose of the law and concluded that the protection of the Countryside falls within this section ). I have noted that there have been of late a number of cases where although there is a clear requirement under this Act for a planing authority to adopt a position on the part of the individual they seem neglected to do so. It is almost as if this section of the law has been bowdlerised. I would draw all planning authorities attention to the point that " in essence it is unlawful for a Public Authority such as a Court, tribunal or Local Planning Authority to act in breach of a convention. A judicial review of some planning authorities planning policy might be a breath of fresh air for some residence if the latest planning decisions are reviewed. Brian Wood Deputy Chair Stickney Parish Council.
