SWINE FLU

The World Health Organisation has declared Swine Flu a pandemic.
There are now over one thousand cases in the UK and this site will not continue to issue reported numbers until they start to fall, ( For reference only there are only thirteen confirmed cases in the East Midlands compared with two hundred and twenty-nine in the West Midlands & four hundred and twenty in Scotland.)

The H1N1 outbreak originating in Mexico has been identified in the UK . Should you have any concerns you can call 0800 1513513 for recorded information about swine flu or click National Health Service information alternatively most News websites carry extensive information on the subject and symptoms. (The BBC site at bbc.co.uk/ is clear & concise) If you develop flu like symptoms the advice is contact the local surgery by telephone or NHS Direct (see below for numbers) but do not initially attend the surgery or health centre without seeking advice first.

(This section will be updated daily)

TERRORISM THREAT LEVEL.
